These two are getting married at the Omni this fall. When we first met them, they came to us with the concept of doing their engagement session with an exciting and unique theme – Breakfast at Tiffany’s meets The Sand Lots. We always love when couples are excited about creating a specific theme for their shoots. Even more so, we love achieving that product. Here are a few of our favorites from this session in Galveston.
Cheers to the most colorful wedding of the year! There are no black and white images given here. This was my first South Asian wedding for the DC Stanley team to shoot solo, and man was it fun! Reena and Rohit are the most perfect couple and the chose the venues to match. So much time and thought went into this event and it showed! This three day event started at The Bhagia residence (the Mehndi). See the henna images below. What an abundance of dancing and food! The next day- The Sangeet- was located at the Petroleum Club. It was an egyption themed night with tons of dancing, and dancing, and dancing and food! The third day, at the Intercontental Galleria, started with a ceremony in the morning with Rohit riding up on a horse and DJ Yogi and the dancers. The night ended with a reception to top all of the events! AMAZING people, places, and times!
These two rockers are having an outdoor wedding at the Houston Arboredum and their reception is going to be at the super fun House of Blues where the Spazmatics will headline. We thought it would be fun to incorporate some corkyness into the engagement session. See the images with their glasses below. Eric and Missy were so excited to work with us that they had us design and print their wedding invites which turned out so fun! We are pumped about shooting their wedding this summer.
We did Jenna’s bridals at the stunning new Houston wedding venue Chateau Cocomar in the Champions area. This venue is extravagant with its crystal chandeliers, grand staircases, and acres of gleaming marble. The Chateau is set on a 5-acre estate, 25,000 square feet of European antique doors, libraries, wine cellars, and a number of bedrooms. We are excited to have this venue in the Houston area and are looking forward to its grand opening in August of 2012.
I was very fortunate to meet such an amazing family and to get the opportunity to document this upcoming event! Their wedding ceremonies will be a three day affair split up between their house, The Petroleum Club (www.pcoh.com) and The Intercontinental – Galleria (www.ichouston.com/weddings/)! I can’t wait to get to know everyone at this event and for the food too! I’m a huge fan of South Asian cuisine and was promised access to it all…oh me oh my! We decided to shoot Reena and Rob’s engagement session with a mixture of cultural and traditional. I hope you guys enjoy these and look for their wedding blog post coming in April!
These two people are the absolutely most fun people every to work with and super laid-back. By the time our couple’s weddings are over, we feel like we are family and Sara and Dustin are just that. We can’t wait for them to get back from their honeymoon so we can meet again and have dinner and drinks! Check out their engagement session!
Oh where, oh where to start. Robyn and Billy are the most in love couple and it was so easy and fun to work with such a great couple! This shoot was amazing and gave me chills a handful times throughout the day! Words can’t do this justice so I’ll just give details of the location: Their House in Galveston, TX and the area around it! Simple and beautiful!
Laura and Trey came to us from Beaumont, Texas. Laura fell in love with our company and wouldn’t have anyone else for her photographer! We love these guys and they have such gorgeous families and friends! You may remember these guys from their engagement session at Kemah we posted last summer. Or you might remember Laura’s country, chic bridal session we did in the Friendswood area. Either way you will definitely love this event from the old (pre storm of 1900) church and the carriage ride to the romantic Ashton Villa. This was the last wedding I did in 2011 and what a great way to end the amazing year! DC Stanley Brides and Grooms – get ready for the DC Wedding Family bash coming in November! We will be hosting our annual wedding party at our house in November and hope that all of you will be able to attend! But for now please enjoy some of our favorites from this wedding oh and help Laura get her free 16×20 by getting 50 comments on this blog post!
