We are so excited to be a part of the Bridal Extravaganza Houston Show this weekend. We are halfway though the first day and have met a ton of contacts that we look forward to working with. We have a smaller booth for this show compared to the one we had for the January show but we are still so proud of it. Here are some pictures of it. If you come to the show, please come by and see us!

We met Lisa at the Bridal Extravaganza show in January and we are so happy to be a part of their wedding planning expedition. Here are a few of their engagement photos and we are truly looking forward to shooting Lisa’s bridal portraits in September and their wedding at WHR in October!

This will be the first of many posts for these fabulous people, the lawyer and the dancer! I met Brie at the Bridal Extravaganza in January of this year and we were so excited that she picked us out of this large variety of photographers! Brie wanted something unique and edgy and I assumed that we could fulfill her vision. Their well-planned wedding will be in December and there will be a bridal shoot before, but for now, check out the direction in which their style has taken us.

Chris and Jessica are getting married next month at a beautiful venue in Conroe – Heather’s Glen.  The place has the most amazing little chapel and I’ve been fortunate enough to shoot there a few times!  I am really looking forward to their special day and I’m happy to show you a few of my favorites from our session last week.

We had a give-a-way at this year’s Bridal Extravaganza – Houston (the largest wedding show in the country) and here are our winners – Anson and Meredith.  We had originally listed the give-a-way as an on-location bridal session, but Meredith really wanted to involve Anson.  We, of course, had no problem with that and setup a meeting to discuss their vision for the shoot.  Meredith just so happens to be from my hometown and met Anson while interning during college.  These two rockers are very humble people and were very gracious of this great gift!  I can see a beautiful future for them and I look forward to working with them again in the future.

What a classy couple!  Joel was a little late in getting this engagement session set up but we managed to meet what seemed to be an impossible time line to get them ready for their destination wedding. I don’t mind being tested with a short deadline sometimes and this shoot in particular did just that.  We were able to get the enlargements out of the lab the day before they left so, all is well!  Joel and Sarah, I wish you two an everlasting marriage and sweet life together and look forward to working with you two in the future!

Orchestrated – You know, there’s always a plan when you set up engagement shoots (decide on a location based on the couple’s interest and the photographers vision), but there are always surprises!  Sometimes they’re good and sometimes they’re bad.  I will save you the distress as this one was good! whew

The plan (and request from Brooke) was to have a very outdoor-type setting with downtown Houston in the background.  That’s easy…Eleanor Tinsley park.  We planned it for dusk, but luck would have it that the sky was very overcast.  Oh well, we had a nice big diffuser!  We didn’t know that an orchestra was also planning a photo shoot up on a bridge out of our view.  We explored for an hour or so and then decided to cross the river and check out the other side of the park.  Wow!!  An entire orchestra was posed for a nice shot overlooking the downtown skyline!  I was thinking photo-op and they were thinking – what a coincidence! They were playing the wedding march…crazy!

Brendan just finished law school and Carly is a school teacher working in the private sector.  Carly knew exactly what she wanted for their special day and I hope  it is all that she expected (plus a little extra…..).

We had a super fun time together and we will travel to San Antonio for their wedding taking place at The Witte Museum (http://www.wittemuseum.org)….should be special.  For now here are a couple of my favorite shots from the engagement session:

I did an engagement session with Chantelle’s twin sister a long time ago and she always loved seeing her sister’s pictures around their house.  When it became her turn, Chantelle asked if I would be their wedding photographer and also do an engagement session for her and Tripp.

These two are a very classy couple who live in Highland Park (outside of d-town Dallas).  They traveled down to Houston for our first round and here is what we got:

These two rockers are such great people to be around and I am glad that they chose me to document this special time in their lives.  They really made it easy on me and I think these shots express their personalities perfectly.  I was a little nervous when Shawnna said that she was an aspiring photographer, but then I remembered that she chose me for a reason.
