We are so excited to be a part of the Bridal Extravaganza Houston Show this weekend. We are halfway though the first day and have met a ton of contacts that we look forward to working with. We have a smaller booth for this show compared to the one we had for the January show but we are still so proud of it. Here are some pictures of it. If you come to the show, please come by and see us!

Jason and Ashley were referred to us by life-long friends, Kyle and Danielle Duckett. We were super excited to get the opportunity to be a part of their wedding day and really enjoyed working with the staff at the White House Ranch in Friendswood. David had a blast catching all of the guest dancing and thought it was so neat to capture such a close wedding party. Comgrats to you guys on your marriage and look forward to designing your wedding day album.

What a stunning bride! Brittany was so much fun to work with and took direction wonderfully which made our jobs so easy! We were also so happy that she trusted in us to capture her budoir session for her husband. They turned out so elegant and full of class. Here are a few favorites from the two sessions.

Kim

Ahhh, the luck of a nearly impossible timeline!  I really thought when Kim contacted me in a pinch to check the availability of my schedule I wouldn’t have the date open for her, much less be able to squeeze in a bridal shoot and have the enlargements ready for her in time!  Kim contacted us 5 weeks out from her wedding date and said that her photographer had fallen through and she really needed some help.  I am open for anything when it comes to photography and gladly accepted the job since my schedule was open.  The only real kink was getting a bridal shoot completed in time for the presentation at the reception.

You know the only thing I don’t like about bridal shoots is that you have to wait until after the wedding before posting the pictures.  So, here are some favs from the day we spent in the urban areas of Houston.  We really had a blast and no one managed to get their car towed either, yea!!  More about the wedding in later post, but you can see a sneak peak here: www.dcstanleyphotography.com/darkroom/share and using the keyword – weddingband.

We always discuss options for locations with our subjects and base that final location on their personality and requests.  We collectively decided that Yazmin’s style was more in-line with the architectural type settings and therefore decided
downtown was the best place for this shoot to take place.  Who new it would be freezing the day we scheduled (it freezes in Houston).  Wow it was a cold day, but Yazmin didn’t let it phase her nor could you even tell from the glow of her face!  I had to bump the shutter speed a few notches to keep the shakes out of the camera…nah, just kidding.

Liz

I am at a loss of words on this one….isn’t she stunning?!?  Wow, it sure makes my job easy to have such photogenic subjects, and I am going to let you interpret this yourselves.

I love this part of downtown Houston.  The Hotel Icon is such a cool, cozy place to hang and I thought it would be perfect for Jill’s shoot.  We had a blast exploring the inside of the hotel and we somehow were able to get the elevator to drop us off on a floor (without a key).  This first picture is
on the street in front of the Hotel Icon and the second one is in the hallway directly in front of the elevators.  I love this classic look on
the couch we found through one of the side entrances to the hotel.

I love any opportunity to do a bridal shoot and I think they are so important for brides.  I was really happy when Shawnna said she really wanted to do a bridal shoot as I had not had the opportunity to do very many and also because she is such a great subject!  People are always mesmarized when see brides out running around in their wedding dress and she definitely turned some heads that day.
