We are so excited to be a part of the Bridal Extravaganza Houston Show this weekend. We are halfway though the first day and have met a ton of contacts that we look forward to working with. We have a smaller booth for this show compared to the one we had for the January show but we are still so proud of it. Here are some pictures of it. If you come to the show, please come by and see us!

Jason and Ashley were referred to us by life-long friends, Kyle and Danielle Duckett. We were super excited to get the opportunity to be a part of their wedding day and really enjoyed working with the staff at the White House Ranch in Friendswood. David had a blast catching all of the guest dancing and thought it was so neat to capture such a close wedding party. Comgrats to you guys on your marriage and look forward to designing your wedding day album.
It had been a while since we had last met with RC and Erika but their wedding details but hadn’t forgotten what they said about the groomsmen and their characters (they are unpredictable and fun)! That will become obvious as you scroll through this post. This location definitely allowed the party to spread its wings and there were certainly some details worth capturing. We set up a really fun shot using this old model-T body slowly being eaten by the earth. I hope you enjoy some of our favorites listed below.
We absolutely had to give these shots their own post! It was really hard to narrow it down to a few and I wish we could have posted them all – that’s how unbelievably fun these shots are! This was our first experiment with a photobooth at a wedding and we were lacking in the ‘props’ department but luckily the guests used their imagination and delivered!
These two have a sincere love for each other and will certainly enjoy their lifetime of love. Jessica certainly knew what she wanted from her photographer and I hope she is excited to see a few I pulled from my first pass of this fantastic evening at Heather’s Glen (www.heathersglen.com). The best man stole the night with his speech and if I was a little more comfortable with video, I would have had to capture that moment. None the less, here a few shots to get you by until I can complete the edits. Hope you enjoy your honeymoon and I can’t wait to show you the rest!
I know it’s been a while since I’ve been on the blog, but I promise to be more of an active blogger (and I know what you are saying to yourself right now – ‘typical saying of person who has a blog’). On to the show….
What started out to be the hottest day on record for the year turned into a beautiful, dry, and breezy evening. The Hidden Palms is certainly great for entertaining and it’s picture perfect location. I never have a hard time finding a great background here and I am very grateful for their genuine hospitality. Tiffany and Garrett have great families and friends surrounding them, which is certainly a nice thing to see. You guys are great and I am lucky to have been a part of your wonderful day. Garrett is a local hero (firefighter) and they just so happened to have borrowed the coolest old fire truck to ride around in after the ceremony. I was told it was bought at an auction block many years ago and it was still running strong! I hopped on it with them as it sped away and as they shared their first moment alone together (see below). I sure hope I get an opportunity to document this growing family in the near future! Best of luck to you guys, D.
Yazmin is one of the most exotic looking brides I have been graced to shoot. She makes my job easy and was always full of candid actions. It sure is refreshing to see such a strong love for family and life! I couldn’t wait to see how this day unfolded as I knew it was going to be special from the moment I met these two! Yazmin scheduled some time between the ceremony and the reception for us to go (with the entire wedding party) to a few locations for a fun shoot session. Houston is such an enormous town and I had never ventured to this part of town so, I decided to scout out a few locations on my way to the wedding. We came across this great view of downtown on the railroad tracks (see it about midway down on this post).
This is my tribute to IKE! This wedding was originally supposed to take place in Galveston, TX, but thanks to a certain storm, the venue disappeared! That’s okay because I think Carly picked a spectacular location for their wedding here in San Antonio at the The Witte Museum (http://www.wittemuseum.org).
Absolutely, hands-down these two are the most in-love couple I have ever been in the presence of. The people, the family, and the friends involved in their lives are truly blessed. As the night grew, it seemed to light them up more and more.
Dallas, TX. Great place…wish I could move there! I’ve known Chantelle since high school. We actually went to my Junior Prom together, lol! That is a whole other story in itself. We lost touch for many years and I was really happy to her voice on the phone the day she called to ask me to document this special time in their lives. We set a date for their engagement shoot (posted previously) and we had a blast. It’s always fun to takes shots of people you know because they tell you how it is and what they really want! I knew this wedding would be nothing short of spectacular because of Chantelle’s taste and exposure to fashion, but wow what an experience. I am just glad to have been able to freeze some of these wonderful memories in time for all of us.
I had the pleasure of documenting these two before they were married with an engagement shoot down in Galveston (pre-IKE).
We had talked so much by the time the wedding got here that I felt as if I were part of the family party. I always strive to make my clients feel comfortable in order for them to show their true emotion, but with Elijah and Shawnna it was like I was shooting my good friend’s party or something. We had a blast and these two were just as spontaneous as on the day of their engagement session. I loved the laid back atmosphere and am truly lucky to have been able to spend the day with you guys!
